SNES Mario Influenced Portfolio Website – by Robby Leonardi

As I am coming closer to finishing up the art work for my portfolio site (wwwskubymediagroup.com) I like to browse the internet for ideas on how mine could be designed or laid out, and it is driving me crazy! Almost every time I search I find new and innovative portfolio sites that make me want to change my design!  I almost always go back to mine design and change something!

 

Well here is my newest inspiration.  It is the portfolio site designed by Robby Leonardi a multidisciplinary designer based in New York. He does illustration, graphic design, animation and front-end development.

His portfolio is a SNES Mario influenced website, the whole page is like walking through the game and I am in love with his site!

Google’s Skin Tattoo Smartphone Microphone

I know this has nothing really to do with my normal posts, but I just had to post this up because I found this WILD!

Google has filed for a patent for “Coupling an electronic skin tattoo to a mobile communication device.” 

I don’t know how I feel about getting an actual tattoo so my smart phone or any other device can pick up my voice better.

This seems a bit radical, what do you think?? Would you get a Skin Tattoo Microphone?

Learning the Basics to Online Marketing

I am new to online marketing and I just came across this website and page with great info

So what I have learned is that there are 3 main aspects to online marketing:

• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

• Content Marketing

• Social Media Marketing

Most people think SEO is just keywords, but what they don’t know is that google has updated how it searches for these keywords. In the passed all you had to do was put a keyword on your page a couple times and Google would see it as a relevant website even if it wasn’t.  But now SEO consists of relevant keywords, valuable content that is shared, a website that loads quickly, both images and content, and backlinks from respected websites.  So…. in other words Google got smarter!
